We invite proposals for tutorials to be organized in conjunction with the 2023 IEEE International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium (IGARSS 2023), to be held July 16-21, 2023, in the Pasadena Convention Center in Pasadena, California, USA. Accepted tutorials will take place on Sunday, 16 July 2023 and can be either half-day or full-day events.

Tutorials should complement and enhance the scientific program by providing participants with lectures and/or practical training sessions on innovative and emerging topics within the field of Geoscience and Remote Sensing. Tutorials crafted to 1) improve community engagement, and 2) demonstrate the impact of using remote sensing data and modern tools to advance our understanding of Earth processes are highly valuable. Equally important are practical tutorials that address effective communication strategies to help the community improve the skills of communicating research.

The proposal should concisely describe the content of the tutorial and include:

Proposals for tutorial sessions must reach the tutorial chairs by Monday, 14 November 2022. This deadline will be strictly observed, and no deadline extension will be given.

All proposals should be submitted online through the link below:

The deadline for submitting or revising invited session proposals has passed.

All who submitted tutorial proposals will be informed of the decisions of the tutorial chair of IGARSS 2023 by email on Thursday, December 15 2022.

IGARSS 2023 will provide rooms, general presentation equipment for the speakers, and coffee breaks for the tutorials.

Tutorial proposals will be evaluated on the basis of their estimated benefit for the community and their fit within the tutorials program as a whole. Factors to be considered include relevance, timeliness, importance, diversity, and audience appeal; suitability for presentation in a half or full day format; past experience and qualifications of the instructors.
